Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality and Risk Manager to join our London Head Office team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a leading role in improving quality across all dialysis units and maintaining ISO accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Improvement
- Lead accreditation cycles and processes, including ISO.
- Develop and implement systems and processes to assess quality standards across all areas of activity, including clinics and HQ.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement programs.
- Review customer feedback through satisfaction questionnaires and regular visits to renal units.
- Undertake quality improvement projects as required.
- Risk Management
- Implement the risk management framework, in collaboration with the International Head of Risk.
- Identify and manage relevant risks through regular sessions with the senior management team, incident analysis, and analysis of external factors.
- Manage and coordinate incident reporting and investigation, identifying trends and mitigating actions.
- Ensure control frameworks are adequate and up-to-date.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures in line with risk appetite and strategic objectives.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed by stakeholders through assurance testing exercises.
- Process incident data, interpret it, and make recommendations.
- Support functional leaders in incident investigation and risk-based decision-making.
- Produce reports, including incident reports and risk monitoring reports, and make recommendations.
- Champion effective risk governance and promote awareness of relevant issues.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations.
- Ensure action plans are followed up and actioned within agreed timelines.
- Organize risk management committee meetings and provide recommendations.
- Monitor external developments in risk and regulation, making recommendations to improve governance.
- Provide guidance and support in implementing projects.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including health and safety, and healthcare regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Other Duties
- Provide training and support to staff on quality and risk management practices.
- Act as a key point of contact for quality and risk management issues.
- Prepare and present reports on quality and risk management activities to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Maintain links with external organizations to ensure benchmarking against external bodies.
- Establish and maintain correspondence and filing systems.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Maintain and expand professional and personal knowledge and skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare, business administration, or risk management.
- Experience in healthcare settings.
- CQC registered manager preferred.
- Certifications in quality management or risk management preferred.
- Experience in quality improvement and risk management roles.
- Experience in developing and implementing quality and risk management frameworks.
- Experience of policy ratification and document review.
