SHEQ Manager Position

Location: Mitcham Area

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

George Killoughery Ltd, a reputable Construction Services company, is seeking a skilled SHEQ Manager to join their successful team in Mitcham. The company provides a range of services, including Aggregates, Logistics, Waste Management, and Infrastructure Services, and is known for its quality of service and close collaboration with major UK Construction Contractors.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SHEQ Manager to maintain and coordinate health and safety policies and procedures, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare method statements and risk assessments. The successful candidate will also conduct site inspections, identify potential hazards, and determine ways to reduce risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and coordinate health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Record and investigate incidents, accidents, and complaints.
  • Investigate health and safety issues raised.
  • Attend training courses to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct in-house training sessions on health and safety awareness.
  • Maintain company accreditations.
  • Keep up-to-date with safe operational practices and legislation changes.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in waste management or construction environment.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • NEBOSH qualified or equivalent.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to give constructive feedback.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines.
  • Full driving license.
