Job Title: Specialist SEND Support - PMLD

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist SEND Support - PMLD to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited. As a Specialist SEND Support - PMLD, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a PMLD specialist provision based in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to PMLD students during lessons and activities, ensuring a positive and enriching learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Offer mentorship to students, focusing on their emotional and social well-being.
  • Attend regular training and team meetings to share insights and stay updated with the latest educational methodologies and support techniques.
  • Document students' progress, behaviours, and challenges, suggesting improvements as necessary.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with PMLD or special educational needs is essential.
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Able to commence your next role ASAP and commit to at least the full 24-25 academic year.
