Overview:
Are you dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of young individuals with special educational needs? If you are currently involved in the education sector or are contemplating a role in this field, GSL Education's Hull branch is eager to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities:

Individual Student Support:

Provide tailored 1:1 assistance to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons and school activities.

Assist in the execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs and objectives of students with special educational requirements.


Fostering Inclusion:

Promote the integration of students with SEN into mainstream classrooms and school events, creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.


Behaviour Management:
Employ behaviour management techniques to help students with SEN develop positive behaviours and social skills.

Collaboration with Educators and Specialists:

Work in partnership with classroom teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals to implement effective strategies and interventions that support the learning and growth of students with SEN.


Qualifications and Skills:
Must possess the Right to Work in the UK.
Relevant educational qualifications or experience in SEN support (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or transferable skills).
Training in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience with children who have diverse disabilities and/or learning challenges, or a willingness to undergo training.

Have a solid understanding of various additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD, and SEMH.
