We are seeking a dedicated Analyst to join our European Credit team, a vital part of our global Credit Investments division.
Our Credit Investments sector oversees assets exceeding C$50 billion, with a diverse range of investments from $50 million to over $1 billion. The team comprises over 100 investment professionals operating across North America, Europe, and Asia.
The European Credit team specializes in sub-investment grade debt across various capital structures, including private credit (unitranche, Holdco financing), liquid credit (term loans, high-yield bonds), and tailored solutions for corporations in Europe.
As an Analyst, you will collaborate within small deal teams to assess credit opportunities, formulate investment proposals, and engage in the execution and oversight of investments. Our focus is on nurturing Analysts into well-rounded investors and leaders, providing a comprehensive understanding of the investment process from origination to exit.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate potential investment opportunities across private and liquid credit (including direct lending, term loans, high-yield bonds, Holdco, and mezzanine financing).
- Engage actively in the investment process from initial assessment to execution and monitoring.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on relevant businesses and sectors.
- Develop financial models with projections to support investment evaluations, structuring, and financing.
- Assist in the negotiation and review of legal documentation.
- Prepare presentation materials and present investment proposals to Investment Committees.
- Foster relationships with financial sponsors and management teams as part of the portfolio monitoring process.
- Relevant years of experience in fields such as investment banking, leveraged finance, private debt, or credit analysis.
- Outstanding academic performance.
- Strong passion for investing.
- Exceptional research, communication, financial modeling, and analytical capabilities.
- Team-oriented individual contributing to a high-performance culture.
- Ability to adapt to various investment asset classes, jurisdictions, and risk profiles.
- Strong interpersonal and business relationship skills.
