Job Overview:

Position Summary:

GBA5 EntServ UK Limited is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, deployment, migration, and management of our infrastructure services across various technologies. Your responsibilities will encompass servers, storage systems, networking, mainframe operations, Active Directory, SAP Basis, both public and private cloud environments, data center technologies, containerization, middleware, database management, modern device oversight, intelligent collaboration tools, IT asset management, field services, and technical support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Oversight: Support the management and operation of infrastructure services, providing assistance to the team.
  • Project Strategy: Engage in the execution of infrastructure projects and strategic initiatives.
  • System Optimization: Ensure the performance and availability of infrastructure systems by diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams to identify their infrastructure requirements and assist in the design and implementation processes.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Participate in the establishment of best practices and process improvements within infrastructure services.
  • Documentation Development: Contribute to the creation of infrastructure documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports.
  • Resource Management: Assist in the efficient allocation of resources for infrastructure projects and tasks.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear communication to support and collaborate with team members.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Professional Experience: Generally, over 6 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in managing infrastructure technologies.
  • Skill Set: Strong technical knowledge coupled with effective teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to Learning: A proactive learner who stays updated with industry advancements and technology trends.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Advanced Education: An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner are beneficial.
