About the Role

Civil Engineer is a key position at Carrington West, and we are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team. As an AV Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects, undertaking detailed design work, and writing engineering reports.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AV infrastructure projects.
  • Undertaking detailed design work: Design and develop AV infrastructure systems, including cabling, networking, and equipment installation.
  • Writing of engineering reports: Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, design specifications, and technical issues.
  • Undertaking site feasibility work: Conduct site assessments to determine the feasibility of AV infrastructure projects.
  • Compliance with company H & S Standards: Ensure adherence to Carrington West's health and safety standards at all times.
Person Specification
  • Engineer level: We are looking for an engineer with a good level of on-the-job experience.
  • Client and local authority liaison experience: Experience in liaising with clients and local authorities is highly valued.
  • Willingness to train junior staff: A willingness to train and mentor junior staff members is essential.
  • Varied project experience: Experience in managing a variety of AV infrastructure projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential projects, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with common highway and drainage sectional agreements: Familiarity with agreements such as S38, S278, S104, and S185 is essential.
  • Proficiency in software: Proficiency in software such as WinDes, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD is required.
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills: Excellent numeracy and communication skills are essential for this role.
