Drainage Engineer - Infrastructure Design Specialist

Shape the Future of Water Infrastructure

COWI is seeking a skilled Drainage Engineer to join our Infrastructure Design team. As a key member of our team, you will work on designing and developing innovative drainage solutions for various projects across the UK.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of drainage solutions for highways, rail, and water infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with colleagues to produce calculations, drawings, and technical reports
  • Check and review design calculations and drawings prepared by other engineers
  • Participate in project management activities, site visits, and client liaison
  • Develop your knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental processes

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status (MICE or equivalent)
  • Experience with MicroDrainage modelling, Civil3D, and/or equivalent industry standard software
  • Range of experience working in design environments in the UK on highways, rail, or water infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with UK highway and/or rail standards, water industry standards, and CDM Regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Full UK driving licence
