Key Responsibilities

Our inpatient facilities focus on rehabilitation for patients with diverse and complex needs. Our nursing, therapy, and medical teams are dedicated to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, facilitating their return to home environments. Patients may be admitted following various medical, surgical, or orthopedic interventions, or, when suitable, directly from their residences.

About Our Organization

We take pride in being the first independent NHS Community Trust to receive an outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission.

We believe that exceptional community health and care should be at the core of every locality, delivered by a team that recognizes care extends beyond treatment, focusing on the individual as a whole.

Our staff prioritize the finer details by offering support, demonstrating compassion, and being approachable, not just a uniform. We engage in conversations that encompass not only health but also the overall well-being of our patients.

Join an organization recognized with an 'Outstanding' rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the highest accolade achievable, and the first independent NHS community trust in the nation to earn this distinction.

Job Duties

North Walsham Ward is a 24-bed unit located in a market town, easily accessible for staff. In addition to rehabilitation services, the unit also offers palliative and end-of-life care when preferred by patients. Notably, there are no parking fees for staff at this facility.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversee the delivery and coordination of care for a designated group of patients. Collaborate effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Actively engage within the team to meet unit and trust objectives. Adhere to and promote established policies, protocols, and guidelines.

Flexible Working Arrangements

We offer positions ranging from 23 hours per week, so please communicate your preferred contracted hours. The working schedule consists of two 12-hour shifts: night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 and day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Shifts are organized on a rotational basis across seven days, including bank holidays. We support requests for flexible working from your first day of employment, including fixed shift patterns, and will strive to honor any flexible working agreements established with your current employer.

Training and Development Opportunities

We welcome candidates eager to learn new competencies such as venepuncture, catheterization, PEG feeding, and ECG recording. You will receive support and development through in-service training, annual evaluations, a personal development plan, and regular clinical supervision.

If you are looking to return to a ward environment after working in a different specialty, we can provide a supportive induction to refresh your skills. We also encourage applications from Newly Qualified Nurses or those re-entering practice after retirement.
