Job Description:

The AA Euro Group is seeking a highly skilled Site Commercial Manager to join their team in the Essex area. This is a full-time opportunity (5 days a week) based at our site in Braintree, Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Opportunity Identification: Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities, minimizing risks on the construction site.
  • Team Management: Guide and monitor commercial site personnel, allocating tasks to the team.
  • Claim Management: Manage claims for site works, establishing necessary documentation, assessing risk, and evaluating incoming and outgoing claim potential in close coordination with the relevant work package holder.
  • Negotiations: Participate in commercial negotiations with subcontractors to reach agreements for allocated packages.
  • Payment Administration: Ensure correct administration of payment procedures in accordance with contract and legislation, issuing respective documents correctly and on time.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Extensive experience as a qualified Quantity Surveyor.
  • Project Experience: Strong experience in major project delivery, including construction of industrial plants (project construction site experience is an advantage).
  • Contract Knowledge: Proficient in standard form and bespoke contracts, with an advantage in NEC and FIDIC contracts, and familiar with applicable HSEQ legal requirements.
  • Commercial Awareness: Commercially aware with experience in change management and producing claims.
