Position Overview:
This role offers the flexibility to work from any of our UK offices on a hybrid basis, engaging in projects based in Australia and New Zealand. This is a distinctive chance to acquire experience that may not be readily available in your current role.


Travel Opportunities:
The position may also provide opportunities for international travel, allowing you to work on dynamic projects and collaborate with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.


Specialization:
This role focuses on Water projects, thus experience in the Water Sector is essential. Familiarity with Wastewater projects will be considered an advantage for this hybrid working position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project delivery and may serve as the discipline lead within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain ongoing client communication to ensure project objectives and requirements are met.
  • Ensure all technical work is accurate and completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Perform project delivery tasks, including calculations, drawings, sketches, and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues, and assist in mentoring and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues from various disciplines.


Required Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient in design using common building materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Experience in a 3D design environment is essential; familiarity with BIM protocols is desirable.
  • Application of engineering principles and design development.
  • Proficient in Computer Aided Design and Modelling Packages, including Tekla.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Honours degree in Structural Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Structural Engineer status or nearing Chartership (IStructE).
  • Ability to work independently while seeking assistance when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to personal development and supporting the learning of others.
  • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Able to foster strong collaborative relationships with team members and clients.
