Your role:
- The successful candidate will be tasked with orchestrating initiatives that assist GMCA and Local Authorities in achieving their strategic objectives related to housing, regeneration, and investment projects while facilitating access to local and governmental funding.
- This position entails senior oversight of funding initiatives, management of critical projects, and supervision through a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
- The primary focus will be on the coordination of the Growth Locations initiative, integral to GMCA's strategy for advancing Greater Manchester's growth aspirations. This initiative aims to unlock significant development opportunities that can catalyze transformative change across the region, aligning with GM's broader economic, social, and environmental goals.
- Reporting to a Delivery Manager, the role will involve driving the progress of the programme, performance monitoring, risk management, and budget oversight.
About you:
- Proven ability to operate at a senior level within a multifaceted environment, fostering and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across various organizations and cultures.
- Extensive experience in programme management, including the formulation and evaluation of programme and project plans.
- Strategic foresight and planning: adept at initiating and managing projects with the confidence to apply suitable methodologies and approaches. Capable of collaborating to convert strategic concepts into actionable proposals and well-structured plans.
- Investment acumen: strong familiarity with the local and national investment landscape.
- Collaborative partnership development: experience in team leadership and personnel management.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, ensuring equitable access and treatment in employment and service delivery.
