Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead investigations of accidents and near-misses, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation, and implementing preventive measures.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure that safety is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Manage facilities maintenance, upgrades, security, and fire systems to ensure a safe working environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
