Operations Manager
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products while meeting productivity and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the department, including safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
- Develop and implement plans to maximize productivity, quality, and technical skill development.
- Review and plan for daily, weekly, and quarterly labor, equipment, tooling, and supply requirements.
- Manage day-to-day throughput to agreed levels.
- Coach and develop production manager capability.
- Drive continuous improvement in the area.
- Set up daily standard meetings to manage performance and exceptions.
- Establish 6S standards to maximize efficiency.
- Work alongside Engineering to ensure all issues and planned maintenance are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop operators to multi-skill and gain flexibility across multiple assets.
Requirements:
- Experience managing medium to large teams.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001.
Benefits:
- Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum.
- Quarterly bonus scheme.
- Car allowance.
