Director of Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Operations to lead our Division and drive the delivery of operational and performance targets. The successful candidate will have significant senior management experience and a proven track record of leading complex and challenging services in the NHS.
The Director of Operations will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the Division, working closely with the Managing Director and other senior leaders to achieve our strategic objectives. This will involve developing and implementing operational plans, managing budgets, and leading teams to deliver high-quality services to our patients.
The Division oversees a range of clinical support services, including Theatres, Day Surgery, and Anaesthetics. The successful candidate will have specific responsibility for these services and will be expected to work across all hospital sites within the Trust. They will also be responsible for leading the transformation of services in line with the Trust's strategic plans.
We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership and management skills, who is able to motivate and inspire teams to deliver excellent results. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing operational plans to achieve strategic objectives
- Managing budgets and resources to deliver high-quality services
- Leading teams to deliver excellent results and improve patient outcomes
- Working closely with the Managing Director and other senior leaders to achieve strategic objectives
- Developing and implementing service improvement initiatives to drive quality and efficiency
