This position offers a unique chance to join the community specialist palliative care service, focusing on delivering high-quality care and support to individuals in need. You will be part of a compassionate team dedicated to improving patient outcomes through symptom management and psychological support.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:
- Provide expert nursing care and guidance in palliative care settings.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing practices.
- Work autonomously while managing your own caseload effectively.
- Deliver specialized education and training to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Exemplify the values of the Health Board and inspire others to do the same.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this role; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (Part 1) with current NMC registration.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Post-registration qualification in a specialist area or equivalent experience.
- Proficient knowledge in clinical specialty and service improvement.
- Experience in a multi-professional environment and mentorship roles.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
- Advanced clinical skills and non-medical prescribing qualifications.
