About the Role

The Arden and GEM Commissioning Support Unit is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the delivery of innovation programmes across the organisation. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a range of innovation projects, providing advice and proactive support to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement best practice approaches to innovation project management, ensuring effective planning and delivery of programmes.
  2. Lead on knowledge sharing and learning across the organisation, promoting innovation culture and best practice.
  3. Provide guidance and information on innovation processes, training and education to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Liaise with internal functions to ensure alignment and adoption of best practice processes.
  5. Manage the innovation programme content management system, ensuring information is properly managed and best practice is shared.
  6. Coordinate training and development activities, including recruitment and talent management.

Communication and Relationships

  1. Maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including innovation leads and partners.
  2. Develop and maintain information and guidance for users of the innovation programme, including clear guidance on access and benefits.
  3. Provide ongoing best practice procedures, innovation strategy implementation tools and advice to innovation leads and partners.
  4. Participate in internal and external working groups, providing information and analytical advice and expertise.
  5. Develop and implement data collection systems to provide accurate and timely data.
  6. Present information and issues to a wide range of stakeholders.

Financial and Physical Resources

  1. Provide regular reporting on resource targeting and implementation from a value for money perspective.
  2. Monitor and oversee all aspects of team budgets.
  3. Evaluate projects for delivery against financial recovery/savings plans through high-quality project analysis.

HR Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate training, development and recruitment activities across the team.
  2. Manage staff, undertaking appraisals, recruitment and disciplinary procedures as necessary.

Information Resources

  1. Develop and provide improvements to current management information, analysing and reporting to enhance decision-making processes.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate information analysis and reporting to management on agreed areas of work.

Research and Development

  1. Contribute to the development of key performance indicators for individual and workstream success.
  2. Delegate aspects of research and development activities, collating information, analysing and reporting findings.
