About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced New Projects Introduction Engineer to join our team at MDE Group UK. As a key member of our Design & Projects Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the launch of new projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Design & Projects Team with new project launches, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and suppliers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Manage and control project data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available at all times.
  • Create and distribute weekly timing plans, ensuring project milestones are met and deadlines are achieved.
  • Organise and attend mould trials, identifying and reporting any issues that may impact project success.
  • Perform part measurements using CMM and other metrology equipment, ensuring high-quality products are delivered.
  • Submit ISIR, PSW, PPAP, and FAIR documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop work instructions and visual aids for production teams, ensuring clear and concise guidance is available.
  • Oversee the handover of new projects from technical to manufacturing teams, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • Authorisation to live and work in the UK.
  • Proficient in CAD systems, with design skills a plus.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of injection mould tooling, processing, and materials.
  • Familiarity with secondary operations such as ultrasonic welding, painting, printing, and manual assembly.
  • Experience working with ISO9001 quality standards and systems.
