About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled New Projects Introduction Engineer to join our team at MDE Group UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be involved in projects from inception to completion, with the flexibility to shape working practices to meet project needs.

This role offers significant growth potential, with the possibility of progressing into a management position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Design & Projects Team with new project launches, ensuring seamless integration with our manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers and suppliers, fostering strong relationships and driving project success.
  • Manage and control project data, utilizing our quality management systems to ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards.
  • Create and distribute weekly timing plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Organize and attend mould trials, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Perform part measurements using CMM and other metrology equipment, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Submit ISIR, PSW, PPAP, and FAIR documentation, maintaining accurate records and facilitating project progress.
  • Develop work instructions and visual aids for production teams, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the handover of new projects from technical to manufacturing teams, ensuring a smooth transition.
Requirements
  • Proficient in CAD systems, with design skills a plus.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Knowledge of injection mould tooling, processing, and materials.
  • Familiarity with secondary operations such as ultrasonic welding, painting, printing, and manual assembly.
  • Experience working with ISO9001 quality standards and systems.
