Senior Ward Nurse

Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Nurses to join our esteemed organization at the Band 6 Junior Sister level for various wards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care while fostering personal and professional growth.
Donne Ward Byron Ward Marjorie Warren WardThe position is both demanding and fulfilling, requiring highly motivated individuals with exceptional communication skills who are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. As a Junior Sister, you will play a vital role in supporting your Line Manager to ensure that the needs of our service users are met through the delivery of exemplary care.
You will adopt a person-centered approach to enhance the independence and well-being of patients, collaborating with the Multi-disciplinary Team to ensure safety and effective discharge processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an expert in the care of a designated group of patients, providing strong leadership and acting as a positive role model.
- Provide senior cover during shifts, including Long Days and Night duty, to meet service demands.
- Foster a culture that empowers staff to contribute to safe and effective care delivery.
- Assume direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area in the absence of or as delegated by the Ward Leader.
As a role model and resource for junior staff, you will assist the Ward Leader in managing the ward during your shifts and participate in quality audits, including Observation of Care. You will ensure that staff receive constructive feedback on audit results and that necessary actions are taken to enhance standards. Additionally, you will support students and new staff on the ward.
You will assist the Ward Leader and Modern Matron in continuous Quality Improvement processes, formally evaluating care standards and helping implement changes based on findings.
