London, Greater London, United Kingdom Lumanity Full time

Overview

At Lumanity, our mission is to enhance patient health by facilitating and streamlining access to medical innovations. We collaborate with life sciences organizations globally to generate compelling evidence that showcases the value of their products, transforming scientific data into persuasive narratives, and empowering commercial strategies that ensure market success.

The Launch Excellence team is dedicated to supporting leading pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostic firms that are pioneering advancements in healthcare. We leverage extensive experience in launch strategies to effectively shape and execute successful product introductions.

Our goal is to inspire excellence in product launches across the industry, and we are committed to assisting our client partners in maximizing their launch objectives. We offer strategic guidance, challenge conventional thinking, and provide solutions through our comprehensive launch services, which focus on four essential pillars: Launch Capabilities and Leadership, Launch Planning and Execution, Organizational Launch Processes, and Launch Management through our proprietary software platform, Ignite™.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Launch Excellence Partner to join our expanding team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of our launch excellence initiatives, collaborating with client teams to co-create launch project plans. You may also serve as a core member of client launch teams, offering counsel, project support, and guidance throughout the launch process. This position is vital for our clients, as it fosters the creation of high-performing launch teams, dismantles silos, encourages collaboration, and effectively navigates the complexities of product launches.

As a Launch Excellence Partner, you will ensure that our clients achieve:

  • Comprehensive cross-functional launch project plans established early in the planning phase.
  • Effective governance and operational frameworks for launch teams.
  • Robust processes for monitoring, managing, and communicating launch progress.

Your responsibilities will also include fostering strong cross-functional collaboration across teams and regions, promoting effective discussions and decision-making, and driving the continuous sharing of best practices within Lumanity and among our clients.

Ultimately, the Launch Excellence Partner will support clients in achieving timely launch readiness and success by:

  • Acting as a champion for launch excellence, using your expertise to constructively challenge launch plans and client perspectives.
  • Encouraging adherence to launch excellence frameworks, tools, and best practices in project management.
  • Assisting commercial launch leads and their teams in defining roles, operational methods, and governance structures.
  • Preparing and co-facilitating initiation workshops and project planning sessions for launch teams.
  • Conducting operational meetings for launch teams/workstreams, ensuring thorough documentation of decisions, actions, risks, and issues.
  • Tracking project plans and KPI progress on our Launch Management platform, Ignite, through updates from one-on-one or team meetings.
  • Coaching client teams on the effective use of Ignite to ensure successful platform adoption.
  • Maintaining essential launch project documentation, including team charters and RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions).
  • Identifying overdue actions, bottlenecks, or issues that may affect launch quality or timelines.
  • Providing feedback and status reports to launch and client leads as well as senior management.
  • Supporting launch teams in preparing for readiness reviews.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the documentation of successes and areas for enhancement throughout and following the launch.
  • Assisting the existing client project and account management team with daily client partnership management, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction and business renewal.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical commercialization launch team role at local, regional, or global levels, with a solid understanding of key milestones and deliverables across functions.
  • Experience with launch requirements across the pharmaceutical value chain, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, marketing, medical affairs, market access, product supply, commercial excellence, and sales milestones.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing complex projects successfully (project management accreditation such as PMP or PRINCE2 is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical ethics and compliance standards.
  • Degree-level education (a background in life sciences is preferred).
  • Experience in consulting and client-facing roles is preferable but not mandatory.

Personal Attributes and Skills:

  • Critical thinking skills to foresee issues and proactively drive project success.
  • Strong customer engagement and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to develop and advance project plans in dynamic environments, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple launches or clients simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to provide honest and constructive feedback in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain documentation related to project milestones, activities, and KPIs.
  • Commitment to quality, ensuring all outputs and deliverables are professional and accurate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Comfort with collaboration tools such as Zoom/Teams and Ignite (the Launch Management Platform).
  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to personal learning and development.
  • Alignment with Lumanity's purpose to inspire success for our clients.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that prioritizes your health and well-being, financial security, professional growth, and a balanced work/life integration:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Private healthcare insurance.
