Young Carers Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Children & Young People Coordinator - Young Carers Support Specialist. This is a full-time role that requires a strong commitment to supporting young carers and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an existing caseload and new referrals, conducting statutory assessments and providing short-term interventions to support young carers.
- Deliver workshop sessions and respite activities, providing opportunities for young carers to spend time with their peers and recognize that they are not alone.
- Work closely with schools and children's services, making referrals to a range of professionals and community services to ensure whole family needs are met.
- Plan and deliver services that support young carers to improve their resilience, educational chances, and wellbeing.
- Relevant experience of working or volunteering in education, health, or social care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with young carers, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible attitude and approach.
- Knowledge of the needs and challenges faced by young carers and their families.
