In this role, you will cultivate a client portfolio, overseeing and managing the administrative functions of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes on behalf of the scheme trustees. You will serve as the primary contact for scheme members, trustees, and other external parties, while also offering guidance and peer review to junior administrators.

Essential Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of pension regulations with a minimum of five years' experience in the field
  • Experience in a Defined Benefit pension administration setting
  • In-depth understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and UK pension laws
  • Proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Office and Windows
  • Experience managing both ad-hoc and annual pension-related projects
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey relevant information to scheme members, trustees, and other stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively to achieve objectives
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment while delivering outstanding service to clients and external parties

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with GMP Reconciliation and Equalisation calculations
  • Practical experience with the Pension Protection Fund (PPF)
