Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Assistant to join our Central Employment Services team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a critical role in facilitating the recruitment and employment service processes for managers and staff within the organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the recruitment process, including drafting and placing job adverts, conducting pre-employment checks, and processing appointment transactions for staff.
  • Providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment practices to ensure fairness and consistency.
  • Assisting in the collection, collation, and calculation of data to support workforce planning and other specific projects.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent knowledge.
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use various systems and software packages, particularly HR systems, Excel, and Access.
  • A sound knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and NHS pay and conditions of service.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and managers at all levels.
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy environment, manage conflicting demands, and prioritize tasks.
