About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Healthcare. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-level medical care to patients on our 10-bedded male PICU inpatient ward.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Hold a CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in General Adult Psychiatry and have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Have a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register.
Person Specification
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • AC approved and S12 approved MHA 1983.
  • Previous experience as an NHS consultant.
  • Acute inpatient and outpatient experience.
  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams and being a clinical leader.
  • Experience of supervising junior medical staff.
  • Experience of working with management teams.
  • Experience of service change and improvement.
  • Experience of involvement in clinical governance and improvement.
