About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Priory Healthcare. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultant-level care to patients on our 10-bedded male PICU inpatient ward.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including nurses, clinical psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • CCST/CCT (or equivalent) in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Previous experience as an NHS consultant.
  • Acute inpatient and outpatient experience.
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and being a clinical leader.
  • Experience of supervising junior medical staff.
  • Experience of working with management teams.
  • Experience of service change and improvement.
  • Experience of involvement in clinical governance and improvement.
