Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions in adults of working age.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to Workstream 2, working alongside another part-time Consultant Psychiatrist and a full-time Senior Practitioner.
- Deliver direct interventions to service users at a level of intensity according to need, including those who require an assertive approach and are difficult to engage.
- Supervise the medical team that provides medical care and act as Responsible Clinician for service users in Supervised Community Treatment, in collaboration with other teams and Consultants.
- Be responsible for the mental health care of service users, monitoring and evaluating service delivery and care through regular reviews.
- Participate in team and personal caseload management and supervision, and develop an area of special clinical interest in line with service needs.

We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B& NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.
Requirements- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
