Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Bristol Acute Inpatient Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to patients on our male ward, Lime Unit.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in general adult psychiatry and will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills, including the ability to assess and treat psychiatric problems in adults of working age. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for leading the medical team that provides care on the ward, and will have a key role in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of acute care services in line with best practice and nationally accredited standards.

Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality mental health care to patients on the Lime Unit
- Lead the medical team that provides care on the ward
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Contribute to the development of acute care services
- Work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Relevant Higher Degree (e.g. MD, PhD, MSc) or other additional clinical qualifications
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- CCT in General Adult Psychiatry
