The Opportunity:
We invite experienced Consultant Psychiatrists to join our team, with the opportunity to develop and manage a private practice offering both inpatient and outpatient services at our facilities. This role is essential to upholding our high standards of care and providing expert guidance to our dedicated staff.
We currently have a variety of Independent Practice opportunities available and are open to discussing your availability to practice.
As a self-employed practitioner, you will have the freedom to design your clinic according to your unique vision and schedule.
Your earning potential will vary based on your availability and the services you partner with, but you will receive a referral fee for therapies and a bed night fee for patients under your care in inpatient wards, along with facilities and administrative support to enable you to prioritize your patients' needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary based on the service, location, and your availability, but typically include the following:
• Oversee the care of inpatients within your specialty.
• Conduct short ward rounds at least twice per week to support your inpatients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and psychologists in regular meetings.
• Assess and treat a diverse outpatient population.
• Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
• Expand your practice in alignment with your hospital's prestigious reputation.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
• Market yourself and your practice in conjunction with Priory, registering with private medical insurers and providing information for our website.
• Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.

Candidate Profile:
• GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
• Experience in substance misuse or general psychiatry.
• A strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by your hospital.
