About the Role
Shropshire Homes, a leading local housing developer, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Technical team as a Technical Assistant - Services. This is a permanent role that offers full training and the opportunity to build on existing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of new mains services schemes and coordination of service diversions.
- Secure road and sewer adoption agreements and adoption of infrastructure by local authorities.
- Procure traffic management to facilitate new developments.
- Support current developments in delivery of new service connections.
- Deliver public open space areas for future maintenance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Well-motivated with a desire to succeed.
- Customer-aware and committed to providing good customer service.
- Well-organized and self-sufficient, with experience in a team-based role.
- Project management skills, although not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Construction background or experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
- Construction-based qualification or working towards one.
- Experience with Autocad, although not essential, as full training will be provided.
