About the Role

Tetra Tech is seeking a highly skilled Site Investigation Engineer to join our national ground investigation team based in Leeds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations across the north of England and occasionally across the UK.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Supervising geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations
  • Logging soil and rock to BS5930
  • Supervising site works
  • Groundwater and ground gas monitoring

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in geology or a related field
  • Experience in ground investigation, including logging and supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literacy and ability to write clear, concise reports
  • A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental management
  • A full, clean driving license

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • CSCS card relevant to the position
  • SMSTS training
  • Cat and Genny training
  • First Aid training
  • Experience with the Openground suite of software
  • Understanding of Health and Safety, including preparing health and safety documentation
  • Preparing ground investigation works, including booking subcontractors
  • Security Cleared
