Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Automation engineer/ manager to become our new Automation Division Assistant Manager to work alongside our Divisional Manager in the day-to-day management of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Automation Division of the business working closely with the Divisional Manager.
  • Develop new and existing customer relationships.
  • Work closely with the operations and helpdesk teams, responsible for delivering multiple projects from the quotation stage through to completion.
  • Liaise with the customer/contractors throughout the whole process.
  • Carry out surveys.
  • Estimate and produce quotes within the 5-day KPI.
  • Order materials.
  • Produce project documentation i.e., RAMS, O&M's, Technical Files.
  • Carry out quality audits.
  • This role will be predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits for meetings, surveys, and project monitoring.
  • Work to financial targets and KPIs set by the company's Managing Director.
  • Supervise the automation team.
  • Support the engineering team with technical queries.
Requirements
  • Experience in winning new business/converting quotes with a proven track record is desirable.
  • 5 years + Engineering experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the automation industry, products, legislation, and standards is essential.
  • Knowledge in areas such as Automatic Doors, Industrial Doors, Speed Lanes, Gates, Barriers, and Bollards (highly desirable).
  • Hold relevant accreditation, ADSA; DHF (desirable).
  • Computer/Microsoft literacy is essential.
  • Experience in using the Joblogic system would be beneficial.
  • The ability to manage several projects at once.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to organise and manage own workload, relationships, and sales pipeline. Multi-task efficiently and effectively.
  • Targets & KPI driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in communicating at all levels.
  • Full & clean UK driving licence.
  • If successful, the candidate must complete, submit, and pass a full security vetting clearance and have no criminal history.
