About the Role

This is a critical leadership position within the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team at Rushcliffe Care, a company with over 30 years of experience in providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve IPC knowledge and practices across all services, particularly for health and social care workers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and overseeing compliance of the Rushcliffe Care Group's IPC Delivery Plan
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to improve IPC standards and reporting key issues to the Board of Directors
  • Applying expertise in dealing with complex issues across various settings
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance systems, including risk management and safeguarding

About You

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional with:

  • Critical analysis skills to interpret research and guidance
  • Data analysis skills for surveillance data collection and interpretation
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • Policy writing, implementation, and evaluation skills
  • Programme development skills
  • Experience with infection control audit tools and report writing
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • IT literacy across various applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Leadership skills
  • Clinical experience within a healthcare setting

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a post-registration qualification in Infection Prevention and Control and have specialist knowledge across the range of infection, prevention, and control. Experience of staff leadership, project management, and working with external colleagues to implement infection prevention strategies is also desirable.

A full UK driving license or own transport with mileage paid is required for this role.
