Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Wasco. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Assist in preparing production schedules, ensuring that approved procedures are implemented and maintained by all parties.
  • Communication: Ensure proper communication with logistics, port, stevedore, surveyor, tally, and quality teams for receiving and discharging pipes.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor production and logistic activity against project scheduling and quality requirements.
  • Reporting: Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Contingency Planning: Proactively manage changes within the project scope and identify potential crises while devising suitable contingency plans.
  • Business Development: Build, develop, and grow business relationships.
  • Project Evaluation: Conduct project post-mortems and create reports identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Project Execution: Direct and manage project development from start to finish, ensuring best practices and tools for project execution are used.
  • Team Management: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, identify and resolve issues or conflicts within the project team.
  • Project Scheduling: Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Project Tracking: Appropriately track and monitor project milestones and deliverables.
HSE Elements
  • Understand the fundamentals of the HSE Management System and apply that information on a daily basis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, including when writing.
  • Knowledge in project coordination, project management, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Field inspections, project planning, preparing and interpreting engineering plans and specifications, and communicating technical requirements to contractors.
  • Thinking skills, project time management, manufacturing qualities, and report writing.
