Job Title: Apprentice Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice Project Engineer to join our team at Wasco. As an Apprentice Project Engineer, you will work closely with our team and external parties to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production schedules in line with client requirements.
  • Ensure the effective implementation, distribution, and maintenance of approved procedures by all parties.
  • Coordinate communication for receiving and discharging pipes with logistics, port, stevedore, surveyor, tally, and quality teams.
  • Monitor production and logistics activity against project scheduling and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage project scope changes and identify potential crises, devising suitable contingency plans.
  • Build and develop business relationships.
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create reports identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Direct and manage project development from start to finish, ensuring best practices and tools for project execution.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve project team issues and conflicts.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track and monitor project milestones and deliverables.

HSE Elements:

  • Apply HSE Management System fundamentals on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, including writing.
  • Knowledge in project coordination, project management, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Field inspections, project planning, preparing and interpreting engineering plans and specifications, and communicating technical requirements to contractors.
  • Thinking skills, project time management, manufacturing qualities, and report writing.
