About the Organization:
Supporting Futures Consulting Ltd is a prominent charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and young people. We are currently seeking multiple Youth Support Specialists to join our team in new residential facilities.

Role Overview:
As a Youth Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting young individuals facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

1. **Providing Support:** Offering trauma-informed care to help young people build confidence and resilience while managing challenging behaviors.

2. **Individual and Group Work:** Engaging with young individuals through one-on-one and group sessions to address their practical and emotional needs, while maintaining accurate records of their progress.

3. **Building Relationships:** Establishing strong, positive, and consistent connections with the children and young people in your care.

4. **Creating a Nurturing Environment:** Ensuring a warm and homely atmosphere by attending to daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance.

5. **Encouraging Participation:** Motivating young people to engage in educational, training, and recreational activities.

6. **Safeguarding:** Upholding the safety and protection of young individuals, demonstrating a solid understanding of child protection issues.

7. **Team Collaboration:** Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet the diverse needs of each young person and the residential home.

8. **Adhering to Standards:** Following guidelines from relevant legislation and standards to ensure high-quality care.

Essential Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or commitment to obtain it within the required timeframe.
- Relevant experience in a children's residential setting.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
