About the Organization:
Supporting Futures Consulting Ltd is a prominent charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in care. We are currently seeking several Residential Care Specialists to join our team in new residential facilities.
In collaboration with local authorities, we aim to expand residential services for children with emotional and behavioral challenges, ensuring they receive exceptional support and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to young individuals facing various emotional and behavioral challenges in a trauma-informed manner.
- Oversee and mentor Residential Care Specialists in their daily responsibilities, assisting with complex cases and safeguarding matters.
- Empower young people to build confidence and resilience, helping them manage their behavior effectively.
- Establish and maintain strong, positive, and consistent relationships with children and young people.
- Lead the residential home and shifts with confidence, fostering positive relationships within the team and with the young residents.
- Participate in and facilitate multi-agency meetings, supporting external evaluations.
- Ensure the safety and protection of young individuals, demonstrating a solid understanding of child protection issues.
- Adhere to relevant legislation and standards, including the 1989 Children's Act and National Minimum Standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet the unique needs of each young person and the residential home.

Essential Qualifications:
- Possession of the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a commitment to obtain it within the specified timeframe.
- Relevant experience in working with children and young people in a residential care environment.
- A minimum of one year of supervisory and shift leadership experience in a care setting.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
