Quantity Surveyor - Civils

Luton Bennett is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Swadlincote, covering the North East and Yorkshire regions. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the most favorable terms of contract are secured, managing sub-contractor payments, and preparing timely applications and invoices to meet client deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend pre-contract and pre-start meetings to negotiate contract terms.
  • Inform clients of variations and agree extra costs and final accounts in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and manage sub-contractor payments and forecasts.
  • Generate timely applications, invoices, and final accounts to meet client deadlines.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with back-to-back terms of business.
Requirements:
  • Quantity surveying experience, including measurement, valuation, CVR, and change management.
  • Experience with JCT and NEC forms of contract or equivalent.
  • Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying or equivalent qualification in law and/or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
