About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at HCRG Care Group. As a key member of our community health and care services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs in their homes and in the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Safe and Effective Care: Work closely with our Named Nurse to provide safe and effective healthcare to children in their homes and in the community.
  • Safeguarding: Recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns, following relevant procedures to ensure the well-being and safety of our service users.
  • Child-Centred Approach: Develop a deep understanding of each child's unique needs and work collaboratively with families and other team members to support their development and well-being.
  • Safe and Stimulating Environment: Help create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our service users.
  • Assessment and Recording: Assess and record the child's condition, taking appropriate action as instructed in specific training.
  • Organisation and Planning: Organise day-to-day activities, planning and organising tasks as required.
  • Training and Development: Attend training and supervision sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge, and participate in opportunities for continuing professional development.
Requirements
  • GCSE in Maths and English: Hold a GCSE in Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Understanding of Complex Medical Needs: Have a good understanding of the impact of providing and receiving care in the home for children with complex medical needs and their families.
  • Qualifications and Experience: Hold a NVQ 3 in health or social care, or a recognised nursery nurse qualification. We can offer the Care Certificate through apprenticeships, as well as further career progression opportunities.
