Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at Reed Property & Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the refurbishment and fit-out of new properties, major refurbishments of existing property portfolios, and overseeing the supply chain and facilities provision to the offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage the project plan for all new property refurbishments and major projects, ensuring that these are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare detailed and technical tender packages.
  • Report monthly to the board on all major projects, including cost performance against budget and major programme elements.
  • Oversee an approved supply chain system.
  • Manage the supply chain and purchasing of major project components, sourcing new suppliers where necessary.
  • Prepare a Quarterly Supply Chain Report, incorporating spend and gap analysis, and issue to the board.
  • Provide technical knowledge and advice.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of the construction industry, including the ability to read architectural drawings and understand the construction process.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety Legislation and Building Regulations.
  • Experience within office refurbishment.
  • Directing and coordinating all project activities with a focus on performance.
  • Good communication skills and good working attitude with design and site management.
  • You will be well organised and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of the contracting process, procurement, and supply chain management.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the latest Health & Safety legislation and Building Regulations.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certificate.
  • CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving license.
