About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team at Teledyne FLIR LLC as a Cost Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of inventory accounts, processing financial inventory transactions, and coordinating standard cost accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Process periodic financial inventory transactions, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  3. Coordinate and execute standard cost accounting processes, including cost analysis and forecasting.
  4. Support physical inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of inventory records.
  5. Collaborate with business teams to provide guidance on manufacturing and project management procedures, ensuring inventory accounting requirements are met.
  6. Work closely with purchasing, planning, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and improve costing and forecasting.
  7. Ensure the business operates within established financial controls and procedures.
  8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders across all levels and functions of the company.
  9. Contribute to the wider Finance team, providing support and expertise as needed.

Requirements

  1. Qualified Accountant (e.g., CPA, CMA, or equivalent).
  2. Minimum four years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in a manufacturing and standard costing environment.
  3. Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  4. Strong Excel and analysis skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proactive and 'can-do' approach to work.
  7. Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
  8. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  9. SC Security Clearance Required.
