We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Lancaster.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the classroom when the teacher is not present, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated. You will work closely with the class teacher to prepare for lessons and provide support to students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils and ensure they are engaged in classwork
  • Encourage pupils to interact and build relationships
  • Support pupils in becoming more independent in their learning
  • Establish trust with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
  • Assist pupils with tasks as needed
  • Create a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Promote good behavior and deal with conflicts and incidents in line with established policies
  • Collect completed work and return it to the teacher
  • Assist with supervision of pupils before and after school and at break times
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and achievement
  • Uphold policies and procedures related to child protection, health, and confidentiality

Hours: Part-time (8:30 – 15:00)

Salary: £12.90 PAYE
