Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and creative Teaching Assistant with experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to join our team at Randstad Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resource Preparation: Prepare educational resources and activities for whole class, small group, and 1:1 support to enhance student learning.
  • Progress Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to pupils on their progress and achievements under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and organize appropriate activities that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Communication: Liaise with other professionals such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff to ensure seamless student support.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with other Learning Support Assistants and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Individual Support: Support individual pupils' development and confidence, monitoring their progress and adapting strategies as needed.
  • Education Planning: Assist in the development of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programs to meet student needs.
Essential Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Behaviour Management: Comfort and confidence in managing challenging behaviors in a student-centered approach.
  • Rapport Building: Ability to build rapport with young learners and establish positive relationships.
  • Approach: Creative, proactive, and flexible in your approach to education and student support.
  • SEN Experience: Experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties to provide targeted support.
  • Qualification: TA qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) to ensure a strong foundation in education support.
