Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our Community Recovery Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support service users with severe mental health needs to promote their own recovery
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions underpinned by the Care Programme Approach
  • Work collaboratively with Care Co-ordinators, Clinical Leads, and Team Leaders to ensure effective service delivery
  • Manage a caseload of service users, providing practical support with activities of daily living essentials
  • Participate in regular supervision and contribute to the development of clinical and professional practice
Requirements:
  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Evidence of training and development in mental health and social care
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Proficiency in planning and facilitating group work
  • Understanding of mental health illnesses and early warning signs of relapse
  • Ability to respond in a professional manner to challenging behaviors
