About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health and Social Care Records Assistant. As a key member of our records management team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filing and retrieving health and social care records in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assisting in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of records, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures
  • Liaising with colleagues and external agencies to resolve record-related issues
  • Providing administrative support in response to subject access requests
  • Monitoring stationery supplies and reordering as necessary
  • Assisting other colleagues to ensure the efficient running of the Health and Social Care Records Department
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with excellent organizational skills, a good understanding of data protection regulations, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a good standard of education, with a minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalent, and experience of working in a similar environment.

Desirable criteria include knowledge of mental health records and experience of subject access requests.
