Ignite Selection is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to join our growing team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in our construction projects across Surrey.

As a leading player in the housing sector, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of health and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing comprehensive safety protocols across all stages of our projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain robust health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments for each project.
  • Prepare comprehensive Health & Safety files and Construction Phase Plans, providing clear guidance to site teams.
  • Perform regular site audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advice on CDM regulations and ensure compliance across all projects.
  • Actively participate in site and management meetings, contributing to a culture of safety.
  • Lead and facilitate health and safety meetings, effectively communicating information and fostering collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a UK construction health and safety role.
  • A recognized qualification such as a Nebosh Certificate or equivalent.
  • First aid certification.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
  • In-depth understanding of CDM regulations and best practices in site health and safety.
