Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for a key role in their Global Manufacturing Engineering team. As a Dimensional Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial part in delivering outstanding products to market.

The Dimensional Systems team is responsible for ensuring the World Class Exterior and Interior Quality of vehicles. They are responsible for all elements of Dimensional Quality, including Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) of product design, defining and delivering the Measurement and Metrology strategy, and quality Maturation of new vehicles through launch.

The ideal candidate will have strong mobile inspection skills, a strong understanding of measurement principles, and experience with GOM, Articulated arms, Laser Trackers, and Creaform systems. They will also have excellent communication skills, proficiency in IT/computer skills, and a full driving license.

This is a contract role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 7am start. The role is Inside IR35 and offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of client sites/locations as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing inspection reports to a professionally high standard
  2. Developing new and existing processes to improve departmental performance
  3. Working with BIW & T&F parts and assemblies
  4. Using GOM & Polyworks Software or similar
  5. Knowledge of GD&T
