Division: Manufacturing Engineering

Position Description:

Premea's Global Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for delivering exceptional products to market. From designing processes and facilities to commissioning and quality maturation, they bring innovative products to life.

The Dimensional Systems team plays a crucial role in ensuring the world-class exterior and interior quality of vehicles. Their responsibilities include dimensional variation analysis, measurement and metrology strategy, and quality maturation of new vehicles through launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct mobile inspections and ensure the quality of products
  2. Develop and implement measurement and metrology strategies
  3. Collaborate with the team to improve departmental performance
  4. Provide inspection reports to a high standard
  5. Work with BIW & T&F parts and assemblies
  6. Utilize GOM & Polyworks Software or similar
  7. Develop new and existing processes to improve departmental performance
  8. Travel across various client sites and locations as required

Requirements:

  1. Strong mobile inspection skills
  2. Strong understanding of measurement principles
  3. Good understanding of alignments
  4. Ability to provide inspection reports to a high standard
  5. Ability to work with BIW & T&F parts and assemblies
  6. Thorough knowledge of GOM & Polyworks Software or similar
  7. Competent operators in the use of GOM, Articulated arms, Laser Trackers and Creaform system or similar
  8. Knowledge of GD&T
  9. Excellent communication skills
  10. Proficient IT/computer skills
  11. Full driving license

Preferred Qualifications:

An apprenticeship is desired, but not essential.

Additional Information:

This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.

The role offers 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 7am start.
