Job Title: Dimensional Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Systems Engineer to join our team at Premea. As a key member of our Global Manufacturing Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the dimensional quality of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement measurement and metrology strategies to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  2. Conduct dimensional variation analysis of product design and provide recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality maturation processes.
  4. Provide inspection reports to a high standard and develop new processes to improve departmental performance.
  5. Work with BIW & T&F parts and assemblies, and have a thorough knowledge of GOM & Polyworks Software.
  6. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of measurement principles, alignments, and GD&T.

Requirements:

  1. Strong mobile inspection skills and a good understanding of measurement principles.
  2. Competent operators in the use of GOM, Articulated arms, Laser Trackers, and Creaform system or similar.
  3. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT/computer skills.
  4. Full driving license and willingness/ability to work/travel across a wide range of client sites/locations as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

An apprenticeship is desired, but not essential.

Additional Information:

This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35. The role offers 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 7am start.
