Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist with a keen interest in stroke rehabilitation to join our dynamic inpatient team.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive speech and language therapy service to adults in the recovery phase following strokes.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: £32 (Day shifts)

Qualifications and Experience Required
  • Possession of a highly specialized knowledge base obtained through a relevant degree or equivalent qualifications, complemented by advanced theoretical training and experience at a Master's level in the pertinent specialty.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development through participation in specialized postgraduate courses to enhance and maintain expertise.
  • A recognized qualification in Speech & Language Therapy or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc leading to HCPC registration).
  • Current HCPC Licence to Practice, along with registration as a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and relevant Clinical Excellence Networks.
  • A minimum of 6 months of paid patient-facing experience in the UK nursing sector within the last 3 years.
